I am not big on watching television, so I had now idea that Hennie entered the very popular Afrikaans reality program ‘Boer Soek n Vrou’.  I met Hennie when I was the photographer at his twin brother’s wedding two years ago.  I received Jacobu’s enquiry just after they got engaged and was curios to see how the young lady looked that stole Hennie’s hart.  I did a bit of ‘research’ on Facebook and there it was, apparently their engagement was kinda news and I soon learned why, their story is a unique one, one for the books!

I only remember Hennie as the brother that loved to dance, the one with the twinkle of mischief in his eyes.  Seeing him with Jacobu was just super sweet, the way he playfully made her feel super special.  Jacobu is just a sweetheart and the most memorable about her is the fact that she does not know how pretty she is and that in itself just makes her even more beautiful.  She truly is beautiful from the inside out. From her first email I just knew that it was going to be awesome to capture their wedding, I can hardly wait!

This ‘Boer’ does not need to ‘soek’ anymore, he found his soon to be ‘Vrou’
