Always so awesome to shoot on new locations. Wessel and Johandi’s farm is situated in the Klein Karoo. They asked me to do their engagement session there as they wanted me to get some great images of their new self catering guest home. So it was a double treat, new location and a new challenge – loved doing the property images! Chenoa once again did an awesome job with Johandi’s make up. I am really looking forward to this young couple’s wedding later this year. Wessel and Johandi is a young couple that really impressed me, you can see that they are focused, ambitious and willing to work hard!
Hanno and Ivette wanted a super relaxed, fun filled wedding. That is truly the best way to describe their beach wedding. Both sides of their families was so amazing and they all made me feel like I was a close family friend, thank you!

Initially Hanno and Ivette did not book an engagement session, so I was super happy when they requested a pre wedding session for 4 days prior to their wedding day. The location was specific as Prince Albert is close to Ivette’s hart and they both have deep family roots in Prince Albert. We had a blast with the abundance of gorgeous spots and not to mention the breathtaking sunset right at the end of our session in an olive grove just outside town. Chenoa did an awesome job with Ivette’s makeup and we had the privilege to spend the even with Hanno and Ivette’s parents. Ivette’s mom have a gorgeous old fashioned, warm hearted home in the centre of Prince Albert. We were spoiled with an amazing home cooked meal! This is my second session with the VD Watt family on holiday all the way from Canada. Our first session was when little Mia was only a few month old, she has grown so much. She reminds me of a porcelain doll! It was so good to see you all again.
Stuart & Ellen tied the knot in the beautiful old church in Great Brak. The celebration with family and friends was a real feast at De Vette Mossel. My first meeting with Stuart and Ellen was early this year, what stood out about them was their kindness and the way they laugh! When I met Stuart’s dad I knew he got his way of laughing from his dad. Ellen’s mom is definitely someone who knows what she wants, she wanted everything to be perfect for her daughter, so I was very pleased when I was told that I exceeded her expectations. I never thought that a family would book a session when they do not actually want to book one. This may sound silly, but this was the case for the Maree family. I am telling you all this because I think there are a lot of people out there who want family portraits but do not want to be in front of a camera! Cornelia contacted me to book a family session since some of her friends already had sessions with me and now the Maree’s realized it was time to get some proper family portraits. When I met them at the beach it was obvious that this was going to be a ‘take it as it go’ kind off session, I loved it!! Mom and dad ended up enjoying the session more than the girls and the end result was super relaxed family moments.
I will never forget how over the moon I was when Elizabeth contacted me years back for her wedding. I often saw her before then and thought how stunning it would be to get this classic beauty in front of my camera. Well after the wedding it has been her first maternity session, Lafras’s newborn session and now expecting little Linmari. How awesome to share in such precious times, thank you!
I first met the Maartens family four years ago when I had the privilege to capture Carmen’s senior farewell portraits. Such a blessing when clients return!
