I will never forget how over the moon I was when Elizabeth contacted me years back for her wedding. I often saw her before then and thought how stunning it would be to get this classic beauty in front of my camera. Well after the wedding it has been her first maternity session, Lafras’s newborn session and now expecting little Linmari. How awesome to share in such precious times, thank you!
I first met the Maartens family four years ago when I had the privilege to capture Carmen’s senior farewell portraits. Such a blessing when clients return! Taking the time to do a bit of a personal project is always rewarding! Inge only wanted a few studio portraits to remember this precious time of expecting their first little one. I asked her to extend the session with a bit of a project for me. The recent fires in Dana Bay was scary and tragic, I am also a Dana Bay resident and was directly affected by this. Booking sessions on the beach during the busy holiday season is kind off risky. The wind was just horrible and we could not reschedule, so I am very thankful for the option of a studio facility. Marissa and her family came all the way from Gauteng to visit the Garden Route for the holliday season. I worked with Marissa 14 years ago, and at that time we both were expecting our second child, it is hard to believe they are both turning 15 in 2017. It was an honour to capture your beautiful family and it was great to see you again. Your girls are so gorgeous! Enjoy the rest of your holiday and travel home safely.
Love the classic feel of these images from a recent mom and daughter studio session. I strongly feel that studio portraits still have a valid place in the photography industry and should not be forgotten. There is something timeless about them and all the focus is on the subject and not lost in the scenery of location sessions.
The absolute beauty of an expecting mother! We initially planned a session in the forest with a few beach photos afterwards, but things do not always work out as planned. Welcoming little Leo into the Coertze family. Thank you that you were willing to wait until I recovered from my operation to do this session for you. Leo was not very keen on getting his picture taken without his clothes, so we opted for kind of a life-style session. Mom and dad has really good genes to have such handsome little boys. But looking at mom and dad it is no wonder!
